BIG TRUCK, LLC DISCLAIMER:
1. Items we cannot move/deliver include: most items excess of 350 lbs, hazardous materials, firearms/ammo, other explosives, slate pool tables, outdoor sheds, outdoor playground sets, concrete fountains, livestock/animals, jewelry, gold, high value artwork, money/coins, spa/jacuzzi, large gun safes, pianos (spinets are ok), organs, jukeboxes, ubox containers, kegs, ceramic pottery, clay pots/plants. This is not an all inclusive list. If your item is oversized or questionably over 350 lb please advise us before booking (as it may not fit in our trailer or we may need to hire additional Pros to safely handle the task).
2. Option B Deliveries/Moves: All option B or C selections, that are “one mover/customer assisted” require 50% of all labor to be conducted by both our mover and 50 % labor by the customer. Option B is just not for our mover to work the job solo. YOU, or someone YOU provide, must be present at both pick up and drop off locations to assist 50/50 with our mover on all labor. ALL OPTION B JOBS DECLINE INSURANCE!
3. Weight limit: transporting items up/down stairs is capped at 275 lbs.
4. For all Penske/Uhaul Moving Truck “Load-Ups” for Out of Town Moves: We HIGHLY ENCOURAGE you to buy a dozen moving blankets, and 4 ratchet straps so we can fully protect your items and properly tie them to the walls of the truck. We recommend all TVs to have stands removed and be properly packed in a TV box. These items can be purchased at Harbor Freight or Uhaul. We cannot use our equipment (other than our shrink wrap), due to the fact that we cannot retrieve it at your out of town moving destination.
5. Rain Days: Due to several reasons (including safety, our equipment rusting/rotting, your items getting wet/soiled etc), we do NOT work in the rain. If it's a very light drizzle it will be at our discretion to provide services come move day or offer a free reschedule.
6. Packing/TVs/Sensitive Electronics: We do NOT provide packing services. Please ensure your boxes are properly taped and secured at the time of our arrival so we can grab and load. Please ensure dressers, nightstands and other related items are 100% EMPTY. If you need to reschedule due to still having to pack items, please let us know! TVs and other sensitive electronics must be plugged in and tested by us prior to being moved. TVs must be properly packed in an approved TV Box.
To speed up the clock and SAVE the most MONEY on your move, you can tightly shrink wrap all items that have doors/drawers prior to our arrival (although not required).
7. Disassembly/Reassembly: In an effort to keep your time on the clock with us & your cost the LOWEST, we encourage you to have items like beds and other large bulky items that require breakdown to move, to be already disassembled prior to our arrival, and you reassemble at the drop off location. We do carry common tools to do this task for you, but we always want to offer ways to SAVE our customers money.
8. Payer Present/Final Payment: The person responsible for paying the final invoice MUST BE PRESENT at the LOADING AND UNLOADING locations for all Moves! (Does not apply to Instant Deliveries). (Note: There is a 3% fee for Credit Card and PayPal. There is no fee for Cash, Venmo or Zelle). SORRY NO CHECKS ACCEPTED - ALL INVOICES MUST BE PAID IN FULL AT END OF SERVICE IN PERSON. NO BILL LATERS.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY (ROL)
It is hereby acknowledged that BIG TRUCK has been hired by the customer to provide (moving and/or loading, and/or unloading, disassembly and/or assembly ) moving and delivery related services. Customer or Customers agent, hereby acknowledges having been advised of the following risk of harm for activities requested by or for Customer.
Appliances: BIG TRUCK is NOT RESPONSIBLE for damage to plumbing, electrical systems, or for water damages associated with the connection or disconnection of washers, dryers, ranges, dishwashers and refrigerators.
External Truck Load-Ins/Load-Outs: BIG TRUCK is NOT RESPONSIBLE for damages to cx items unloaded from a moving truck by us, that was loaded by another moving company/party at another location (Example: we unload a uhaul truck for cx here in San Antonio that was loaded out of state by someone else and driven here by cx). Furthermore, BIG TRUCK is NOT RESPONSIBLE for damages to cx items loaded-in to external moving truck by us, and not being driven by us (Example: we load-in a uhaul truck for cx being driven by cx out of state).
Storage/Boxed Items and TVs: BIG TRUCK is NOT RESPONSIBLE for damage to items due to faulty/unsecure packaging boxes. Cx must have boxed items properly secured with packaging tape and protected inside with proper packaging materials from breakage due to handling (ie: bubble wrap, foam peanuts, etc). TVs and other sensitive electronics must be plugged in and tested by us prior to being moved. TVs must be properly packed in an approved TV Box.
Unsafe/Unique Moving: BIG TRUCK is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any direct or indirect damage to items or surroundings, as a result of a customers specific request that is unsafe or a unique out of scope moving technique
Customer releases: BIG TRUCK from all liability/damages associated with items pre-wrapped by another moving company or entity that we cannot visually inspect before placing in transit/being moved by us. (Example: items sitting in storage wrapped in shrink sitting in a storage unit or other location, pre boxed items in storage or any other items we cannot visually inspect being moved by us that are boxed/enclosed/wrapped)
Customer designates a “Receiving Agent”: Customer and Receiving Agent identify the ACCEPTANCE of delivery of the transported item(s) as-is with no damages arisen as a result of BIG TRUCK's transport and handling of moved item(s). FURTHERMORE, Customer and Receiving Agent hereby releases BIG TRUCK and all of its employees/independent contractors and representatives from all liability associated with any of the activities described above.
